The Iron Rail Bed

Bedroom Furniture

A Legacy of the American West. Crafted for Generations.

Some furniture simply fills a room. Other pieces bring a story into it.

The Heritage Tall Six-Drawer Chest from the Buffalo Ranch Collection is handcrafted using reclaimed timber from the historic Buffalo Ranch near Spray, Oregon. Once part of a working Western ranch, this remarkable wood carries the natural character, weathered textures, and distinctive grain patterns of its past.

Thoughtfully designed with a tall, architectural silhouette, this chest offers six spacious drawers while maintaining a more compact footprint than a traditional wide dresser. Its richly textured wood is complemented by six individually hand-forged steel drawer handles, each crafted by artist Paul Shepherd.

The contrast between the warmth of the reclaimed timber and the strength of the dark forged steel creates a piece that feels equally at home in a luxury mountain retreat, a sophisticated Western estate, or a beautifully curated contemporary residence.

Every knot, grain variation, and weathered detail contributes to its individuality. These natural characteristics are not imperfections; they are part of the wood's authentic history.
